About the Project Partners

The National School Boards Foundation (www.nsbf.org) is dedicated to preparing school board members to become catalysts for systemic reform in the public schools so that all students will be prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow. Launched in 1995 by the National School Boards Association, the Foundation's innovative projects identify new solutions and approaches to the most pressing problems facing our nation's schools and their boards.

Key financial support and important guidance for this project were provided by Children's Television Workshop (CTW). Children's Television Workshop (The Workshop) is a non-profit educational organization committed to maximizing the power of media as an educational force in the lives of children. Best known as the creator of Sesame Street–now in its 31st season on PBS–The Workshop produces programming that has been enjoyed in nearly 150 countries, including 20 indigenous co-productions reflecting local languages, customs and educational needs. With Columbia TriStar Television Group, The Workshop recently launched Dragon Tales on PBS. Find The Workshop online at www.ctw.org, www.sesamestreet.com, www.dragontales.com, and www.noggin.com.

Microsoft Corporation's generous financial support of the National School Boards Foundation's Safe and Smart Internet initiative is part of the company's overall commitment to help every school build a Connected Learning Community.
